Our story
Jim and Poco Olson bought our 45 acres outside of Rock Hill, SC as a retirement property in 2001. Over the years they added sheep, geese, and ducks as regular tenants. When their son Charles and Rebekah Olson got married in 2018, we began the process of becoming a working farm business.
We officially launched our farm business in 2020. Today, our main focus is raising pastured lamb meat. We also offer duck and chicken eggs, seasonal produce, and baked goods made with our own produce and lard.
All our animals live on pasture, foraging for most of their own food. Our birds roam freely, taking their pick of prime plants, bugs, and pests. Our sheep and pigs rotate regularly between pastures, and we continue to add plant and tree species for mutually beneficial relationships and soil building.
We endeavor to cultivate abundance in a thriving, self-sustaining ecosystem where plants and animals depend on and support each other — building toward our dream of a permaculture food forest.
This is who we are.
We believe that how we eat is integral to how we live, and that food should build community. Both good food and good friends come from time and seasons, effort and working together ~ they require our attention, investment, and sacrifice.
These are the things we’re working toward. We hope that you’ll join us in looking for them!
